Two Home Remedies to Remove Color Bleed Stains of Laundry

White clothes are especially vulnerable to color bleeding, as even a slight transfer of dye can make them appear tinted or stained. Here’s how to get rid of color stains on white clothes effectively:

1. Use Oxygen Bleach

Ingredients:

• Oxygen-based bleach (like Vanish or OxiClean)
• Warm water

Steps:

• Fill a tub with warm water and dissolve the recommended amount of oxygen bleach.
• Soak the white clothes for 6–8 hours (or overnight for severe stains).
• Wash as usual in the washing machine.

Why it works:
Oxygen bleach is fabric-safe and works well to lift dye stains without yellowing your whites.

2. Lemon and Sunlight Trick

For mild stains on white fabrics:

• Rub fresh lemon juice on the stained part.
• Hang the garment in direct sunlight for 2–3 hours.
• Wash afterward.

Sunlight acts as a natural whitener when combined with the bleaching effect of lemon juice. However, this trick works best on cotton and not on synthetic fabrics.

3. Hydrogen Peroxide Solution (For Whites Only)

Ingredients:

• 3% hydrogen peroxide (1 part)
• Water (2 parts)

Steps:

• Mix the solution and apply it directly to the stained area.
• Let it sit for 15–20 minutes.
• Rinse and wash normally.
